Who We Are
sign2When it comes to tennis and fitness, Southwest Missouri was propelled into the 21st century when the Millennium Tennis & Fitness Club opened its doors in November of 1999.  Excellent customer service, state-of-the-art fitness, and world-class tennis facilities set the benchmark for Joplin and the surrounding areas.

Here at the Millennium, we aim to give you a relaxing and fun environment to come unwind, reinvigorate oneself, and enjoy good times with friends and family.  Our state-of-the-art facility and professional staff are here to give you the best possible experience without the hassle.  Leave your worries at the door, while you take a nice relaxing sauna, work on your tan, get a great workout in the gym, or while on the tennis court.  Our goal is to give you the best possible experience, leaving you refreshed and ready to tackle the world's challenges with ease.

Junior Tennis Philosophy

Fun and games, that’s what kids love most. Here at the Millennium, our goal is to give your child a fantastic experience, learning a sport they can play their entire lives, while in a fun, safe environment. We believe that your child should enjoy their time on court, while learning valuable life skills. Maintaining focus under pressure, is but one of the skills impressed upon them.

Tennis Facts

There were only five people to win The Grand Slam.  Winning The Grand Slam means winning all four Grand Slams (the Australian Open, the French Open, Wimbledon, and the United States Open) in the same year.  The people to accomplish this feat were:  Don Budge in 1938, Maureen Connolly in 1953, Rod Laver in 1962 and 1969, Margaret Court in 1970, and Steffi Graf in 1988.
